2026 Rockets Spring Elite
The St. Louis Rockets are excited to offer our Spring Elite Program for Spring 2026. This program is open to all players in the St. Louis area and is designed for athletes looking for a high-level, development-focused spring experience.
The Spring Elite Program will include 16–18 hours of on-ice training, featuring high-tempo practices, advanced drills, and detailed instruction from experienced Rockets coaches. Players selected through the tryout process will be challenged in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes skill development, hockey IQ, and overall growth.
The Spring Elite schedule will be posted on Crossbar. Players will have two weekday practices along with an occasional weekend practice or scrimmage.
Tryouts
In order to participate in the Rockets Spring Elite Program, you must attend a tryout and be registered. Please check the dates below for your player's appropriate age group. The tryout fee is $50 for skaters and $25 for goalies.
14U (2012 and 2013 birth years)
Tuesday, March 3rd - 6:40 PM at Creve Coeur Ice Rink (60 mins)
Wednesday, March 4th - 8:30 PM at Webster Groves Ice Rink (90 mins)
12U (2014 and 2015 birth years)
Tuesday, March 3rd - 7:30 PM at Brentwood Ice Rink
Wednesday, March 4th - 7:15 PM at Webster Groves Ice Rink
10U (2016 and 2017 birth years)
Wednesday, March 4th - 6:45 PM at Brentwood Ice Rink
Thursday, March 5th - 6:50 PM at Creve Coeur ice Rink
8U (2018 and 2019 birth years)
Wednesday, March 4th - 5:30 PM at Brentwood Ice Rink
Thursday, March 5th - 5:40 PM at Creve Coeur Ice Rink
Each team can select no more than 35 players. If your player makes an Elite team, you will receive and offer via email where you can accept and pay the program fee of $580. We will offer a payment plan for $595 where you will pay half up front when accepting an offer and the 2nd installment will be processed on 5/1/2026. Goalies who are selected to participate in the program will not have to pay but are expected to participate in all events.
8U
The Rockets are happy to have Don Harvey as the 8U Spring Elite coach.
Don has been with the Rockets as one of our main coaches for 2 seasons at the 6U age level. He has invested into the Rockets and has been a vital reason for the development of our 6U kids. With Don as our head coach for 8U Elite, we know the kids will gain more hockey knowledge that will ultimately benefit not only the kids on the team, but also the parents and other coaches involved.

The Rockets are excited to announce Peter Vishion as the head coach for the 12U team.
Peter has years of experience coaching many ages of Rockets teams. Peter also coaches at Webster Groves High School.

14U
The Rockets are excited to announce Rich Meek as the head coach for the 14U team.
Rich has been coaching the Rockets top 14U team for many years. He has a Blue Note Cup Championship under his belt. He has been coaching youth hockey for over 15 years. Rich also coaches for Parkway West High School.

Additional Costs
If your player is chosen to participate in the in town tournament, you will be required to play a small fee to cover the cost of the tournament.
Spring Elite Tournament
The Spring Elite tournament this year is scheduled for April 24th - 26th. The rinks that used for this tournament are All American, Affton, Centene Community Ice Center and the Ice Zone. The tournament schedule will be available 2 weeks before tournament or when tournament send schedule out.
