Fall Programs/Learn to Play
Rockets Learn to Play
This program is specifically designed to help players who have just completed Little Blues or participated in a Learn to Skate. During this program, we will focus on skating, stopping, shooting, and passing. Each week will have a new focus and will teach your kids a new skill.
Learn to Play will include 8 weeks of on ice instruction, with each session lasting one hour. Each week we will spend the first 15 minutes in power skating, stickhandling, passing, or shooting. The following 30 minutes will be spent completing drills that concentrate on the topic of the day. The last 15 minutes will include a scrimmage (small area hockey game) to keep players engaged, competing and learning the basics of hockey in game like situations!

Day: Sunday Mornings
Dates: 10/6 to 11/24

Fall Power Skating
Power skating is a four week program that will focus on all facets of skating from edge work, explosiveness, balance, agility and power through a series of specifically designed drills. Skaters will develop a more explosive and longer stride, learn to trust their edges, and will be challenged to become better skaters each session. Power skating is an excellent way to build the skating skills and confidence needed to excell at the sport of hockey!
Power skating sessions will be skating intensive, with very little, if any, stick handling or shooting included.
