Team Formation
Skaters will be sorted onto teams via league commissioners late March/early April.  All coaches will be provided the skater details submitted at registration.  The league commissioners reserve the right, throughout the season, to make any changes necessary to achieve competitively matched teams at all levels.  Registered players will receive an email notifying them of the team they will skate with for Spring.

Goalies:  Goalies will be charged a $75 fee at registration. If 2 goalies are on a team, the goalie not playing is encouraged to skate-out if they desire.

For 6U/8U, the schedule will consist of up to twenty (20) – 24 minute games, with 2 games played back-to-back in an hour time slot, although occasionally there may be a break between games. Coaches will strive for equal ice time for all players. The scorekeeper will hit the buzzer every 90 seconds for line-changes. Each game will end in a shootout with full roster participation.

For Squirt thru Bantam (14U will play 90 minute games), the schedule will consist of 8-10, one-hour games. Standings will not be kept during the Spring season as we are emphasizing the fun of competition.  Want to try a new position? This is the time and place to experiment!  Coaches will encourage multiple position play and strive for equal ice time for all players.

Game schedules will be posted at www.rocketshockey.com and on the “Spring League Teams” tab or click here.  Schedules will not be finalized until registration closes and the number of teams in each division is determined.  While we cannot guarantee a fixed schedule, every effort will be made to have set days of play for each division, weekend day/night.  Teams can expect to play a combination of once or twice per week.

Carpool & Coaching
Carpool request and/or request for certain skaters CANNOT be accommodated or guaranteed. We will ONLY honor sibling requests, as long the skaters are in the same division.

Parent coaches should indicate their desire to coach via the online link   Coaches must meet all USA Hockey requirements (remember that your age module certification MAY have changed). Please click HERE for details.
