Have you done Learn-to-play? Are you ready for 6U? Here are some helpful questions to answer to determine the best fit for you child.
1. Can my child separate from me easily? How much time do we want to commit?
2. Does my child have prior skating experience? Is he/she comfortable on the ice? Is he/she excited to play?
6 and Under
The 6U program is for players born in 2015 and younger who are able to skate (see above for more helpful tips about how to decide which program is right for you).
Our 6U teams will...
Practice 1-2x a week
Develop their skating and puck handling skills through a variety of drills and games
Balanced teams will be formed to play cross-ice, against our Rockets teams and other teams in the area
Have fun and enjoy the game and being with their team
The session will start after Labor Day and registration will be open in July.
8 and Under
The Mite 8U program is for players born in 2013 and 2014. Typically they have completed Learn-to-Play and/or participated in 6U. At this level divisions are based on ability to help promote better skill development and player confidence. This level typically has two practices a week and a game on the weekend against other area teams. Additionally they have the opportunity to participate in area jamborees (round-robin set of games).
