How to request Officials for a Practice Game

This web page will give the directions on how to request Officials for a PRACTICE GAME.  The Rockets club will pay for Officials for three(3) practice games.  Any additional practice games officials must be paid by the team.

You do not have to request Officials for Declaration or League Games. Mo-Hockey will handle that once you have approved your schedule on the Mo-Hockey Scheduling Web Site.

When requesting Officials there are several things to remember.

MOST IMPORTANT - All Rocket Teams must first be registered with USA Hockey and have certified Coaches on the Certified USA Hockey Roster before Kevin can request referee's.   Please check with Sue Silverstein the Rockets Registrar to make sure your team has it's certified roster. She will send you a link to the USA Certified Roster once she receives it from USA Hockey.

1. Requests for Officials must be emailed to Kevin Whitworth at least 6 days in advance of the game so he can request the Officials via the Missouri Ice Hockey Officials Assn(MIHOA) web system. He has to get the request into MIHOA at least 5 days out.

2. Requesting Officials less than 6 days out will require Kevin to make a phone call and an email to MIHOA.   Requests for Officials under the 6 day requirement do not guarantee that you will get officials.

How to request Officials:

Send an email to Kevin Whitworth at refereerockets@charter.net with the following information:

6.  Age group and level of teams                                                                  SQA2

7.  Home Team and Level                                                                              Rockets SQA2

8.  Visiting Team and Level                                                                           Kirkwood SQA1

Kevin will then request the Officials via the MIHOA web site and email back to the requester a copy of the MIHOA  "Confirmation of Request"

Cancelation of Officials:
Once officials are assigned and you cancel the game, the Rockets are charged a $10 service fee no matter what.  If you cancel the game under 24 hours, the Rockets are charged the full cost of the scheduled officials and the service fee.   These charges will be the responsibility of the team and count towards your three(3) team Practice Game officials paid by the club. Any additional cancelation fees will be paid for by the individual team.
